Blue Wren Cottage - Coolabah

Bogan Downs is a mixed grazing/farming property situated on the Bogan River, 42 kilometres north east of the little hamlet of Coolabah. Our property provides many picturesque locations, including a large seasonal swamp and lake which are natural environments for abundant bird and wildlife species. The billabong, adjacent to the river, is another picturesque location and attraction for wildlife. All are popular spots for bushwalking, bird watching, picnic lunches or a cool evening drink whilst taking in the beauty of the sunsets and magnificent evening skies. Being a working family property you are most welcome to observe farming activities taking place. Children find the chickens, ducks and geese behind the cottage of great interest and are welcome to collect fresh eggs daily. Overall, your Blue Wren Cottage experience will not be forgotten easily as you are made to feel very welcome and encouraged to enjoy the splendour of Outback NSW.

Nyngan Museum

Nyngan is located on the banks of the Bogan River in Outback New South Wales. In 1990 the Bogan River flooded the township and so much history was destroyed. The Museum was established by a wonderful group of locals wanting to collect local family history, relics and items of historical significance. Housed in the historic Railway Station the Museum continues to grow beyond all expectations due to the dedicated group of volunteers whose passion is preserving local history to share with others.
